I have explained before, that one of the ways that you can make money online is through the process of Affiliate or Referral based traffic programs. 

In this process, you drive traffic to other people’s or company’s product landing web pages and if that lead turns into a customer, then you make money. 

This mode of internet marketing is normally called “Affiliate Marketing” and is a great way for you to get started in online internet marketing. 

Why?  Number one is that it is low cost.  To get started, all you need is a set of products to push.  It can be THAT easy.  Picture this.  You buy a great dinner at the local restaurant chain.  You go and tell all of your friends about it. They go.  Do you get paid?  Probably not.  But it is this same word of mouth marketing that you can do at low or no cost. 

You don’t necessarily have to have a website, but as long as you are finding ways to drive traffic to these special links, then you increase your chances to get more money. 

Let me review a real life example.  When i send traffic to Braids By Breslin,  a visitor has the opportunity to buy any of the products on that website.  Once this is done, I get an email stating that I have made a commission.  From there, a database collects the monthly commissions and I then get paid at a  pre-set time of the month. 

Affiliate marketing is a smart process, as vendors know that in this large world out there, it is much easier to people for word of mouth marketing than it may be to pay for large advertising budgets. 

There are multiple affiliate directories out there, from cj.com, to linkshare.com, to clickbank.com…. all giving multiple opportunities for you to market products and get paid.
