05 Sep Web Site Promotion and Search Engine Optimization: Content is King
I thoroughly believe in strong content for websites. In advising a business partner of mine launching a new site, the number one thing I advised him of was rich and frequent content. In advising small business owners on promoting their websites… I suggested rich content about their business. Think about it, who knows their product better than them to even hold a conversation about it?
Our new membership community is fast approaching. When that happens, you will hear CONTENT, CONTENT, CONTENT…. Why? Well, because search engines LOVE when content is pertinent to a particular subject and the LOVE when it is updated frequently…. Get the picture?
I give high Kudos a partner of ours, Jawar. Check out one of his many blogs at http://moneygoldmine.blogspot.com One of the articles that he was commenting on was making money online with Blogitive. He stated that you get paid up to $5 per blog. [ Now for you folks out there who don’t understand what a blog is… well, we have to work with you to get you up to speed, but think of it as an online Journal or Diary entry about a particular subject. ]
$5?????? Sounds pretty good. But let’s go back to my analogy on CONTENT…
Blogitive is paying you to add CONTENT about a particular SUBJECT to their site. The more FREQUENT you add information to their site, the HIGHER SEO or search engine optimization rankings they are going to have. With this comes higher PPC or pay per click advertising (where online entities advertise on Blogitive) and Sponsorships.
Their model is SIMPLY brilliant. Their ROI is almost instaneous. Let’s see it in action one more time…
- You write content.
- They pay you a week later. During that week, your new and fresh content is indexed in the search engines.
- Their site is getting larger (Imagine if only 1000 people per week added 3 blog articles per person) That is 3000 new pages of fresh content per week.
- Sure, they pay out $15,000 that week, but
- their traffic has shot through the roof
- they can use that traffic to secure sponsorship money from large corporate entities
- their search engine stats are going crazy because of the content
- they get paid well with products like Google Adsense etc.
- Lastly, they “own” the content. After the get their ROI on your $5, they own the content to get accessed many more times in the future.
As we can see, content is KING. Further search engine optimization tactics can be used to further promote the content and get it indexed correctly. But I conclude by saying CONTENT IS KING… What can you do today to increase the content on your pages?
