In one of my B2C interactive marketing consultations, I advised on a B2C tactic that could readily be transferred into any B2B marketing campaign. The strategy included a Youtube video, strategically optimized for keywords in this retailer’s demographic.
Now, for most ladies, hair is an absolute consideration in the aesthetic feng sui. Right? So this retailer had to make some true waves as these hair keywords are competitive in the organic scene.
So I decided to take their professionally-produced videos and optimize correctly on Youtube. As you see in the image, the video “Hair Braiding Weaves” was one of 2 videos featured for specifically targeted keywords, vital to the retailers target market.
The net results were two-fold.
- As of this writing, over 261K views leading to major lead generation through questions on Youtube’s inbox, and a strategic landing page that we helped to create for the customer.
- Strategic SEO value in Google.
How? Well, one should remember that Local Business and Youtube Video Search Results are positioned in blocks at the very top of Organic Search results.
The lesson here, is that Video and Local Business result keyword optimization should be a vital part of an SEO campaign. Properly done, and this can boost the number of organic listings that actually see your product.
