I was at a training recently and the trainer put up two amazing stats that we as digital marketers “know”, but overlook.
- 96% of site visitors to a given website leave without doing the action that the site owner wanted thm to do.
- 70% of shoppers abandon the shopping cart funnel before completing the checkout process.
Remarketing gives the marketer an added boost to be able to “follow” that particular site visitor around the web by strategically showing ads relative to the original messaging that the user came to a given site to see.
The follow up marketing is controlled by the ability to drive the individual through tightly defined offers and pages, via coupled display ads… Oh, and if we can mention, remarketing allows us to turn that marketing message on or off based on the next action performed by the user.
